It seems that many people don’t have the money to do an engine right, but they have the money to do one over. I’ve never understood that. Nonetheless, you won’t see me actively convincing someone to save their money and purchase one from us. I just don’t feel I need to convince people not to make mistakes on their own. You will never get a hard sales pitch from Gropp Automotive Specialties. I do not believe in trying to convince people they should buy our product. I let our products speak for themselves. If a competitor is pushing you to buy their product and they don’t have a good record to back it, you have to wonder why. Do they need to make this month’s house payment? Do they need to get enough money in their hands to buy parts for the engine they need to finish for the previous customer’s engine? If they are that desperate to sell you something, can you imagine how many short cuts they will take to make enough money to pay their phone bill? We don’t offer very many specials, and don’t need to cut corners to pay bills. The customers who purchase G.A.S. engines are people who have already done the research and made a decision to buy the best and most current product on the market. They have looked at the folks winning the most prestigious derbies in the US and Canada and are well aware of the cutting edge products we build. They see the multiple Metal Mayhem wins in not only the Mayhem class, but almost every other class at Mayhem. Wins at most of the classes at Spring Explosion, Fall Brawl, Border Wars, XDDL shows, Night of Destruction, UD indoor shows, dozens of State Championships from across America, and countless other shows prove that nobody is even close to us in terms of winning records. Our engines have helped drivers produce hundreds and hundreds of feature wins in the past few years (not an empty exaggeration)! If you believe someone else is building a better engine, feel free to purchase one from them. I can’t tell you how many customers I have come to me after purchasing an engine from another builder because they were talked into it, or offered a “really good deal on it”, or some other lousy reason, and regret it. But really, see “Engine Builder Search Tips” for more on this. |
