Our carburetors and distributors are tailored to match your specific needs. We can tailor a Rochester 2G to suit everything from a 283 to a nasty 406. Our HEI’s are brand new units, hand selected by us, and tailored to your setup. These are only available as a combo, and are priced at $385 plus shipping.
The Rochester 2G has all of the proper metering circuits modified, this isn’t just a “dip it and throw a kit in” rebuild. We do not require a core, we select our own prior to the build. The gaskets and rebuild parts are top quality. We have almost 20 years experience in modifying carburetors for derby use. This will wake up your engine and feed it the proper fuel for the specs you supply.
The matching HEI is a 100% new distributor. Don’t be fooled, there are many junk HEI distributors on the market. We have returned large orders of HEI distributors when a supplier makes a supplier change and fails to tell us. They are to my specs, or they aren’t received by our shop. Once we have the right base unit, we modify them to your specs. Ours have almost a zero failure rate under derby conditions.
We only sell our carburetors and distributors as a combination, and they are only available for Chevy engines (Mopars will be out when someone else “pioneers” them, see “beware of copies” at the start of my other page). In the past, I have sold one or the other. The problem is that people don’t understand the art of setting up either one, and when they have some new high dollar distributor, they think they should just be able to buy the carb. Then they call and say it stumbles, etc. The problem is that they (99% of HEI’s) are not set up for derby use, and none of the big name suppliers know what derbies require, because THEY DON’T TEST IN OUR SPORT!
